The bestiary

What the bestiary covers

The bestiary includes the enemies fought in the game that have a portrait in the turn-order timeline, the column that shows in combat the order in which everyone will act. The Gestral merchants, who all share the same portrait under some twenty different names, are left out. That means ordinary Nevrons, story bosses, a few one-off opponents and the chromatic variants. Names are those of the official localisation, in English and French.

Boss status is the one the game itself assigns to each enemy, and it holds a few surprises: Pétanks, the Nevrons that try to run away as soon as they see you, are among them. The 45 chromatic variants are elite versions of existing enemies, ordinary Nevrons and bosses alike. Most reuse their base form's portrait, a few have their own; in Enemy mode, their portrait's colours constantly shift.

How to use it

The tables below separate bosses, other enemies and chromatic variants. Use them to check a spelling, find the French name of a Nevron, or spot look-alike families such as the elemental Évêques or the Sakapatates. To learn to recognise the portraits, the guide Recognising the Nevrons offers a complete method.
